In "Death Angel" Ms. Both stories grab and hold your interest with a plot not often seen in a romance novel. Howard has written a captivating story that you won't soon forget. "Death Angel" is a very different story with characters that are hard to like; but who grab your interest immediately. I was reminded of her earlier novel "Kiss Me While I Sleep".
Yes, boy meets girl, girl and boy have chemistry, there's tension, conflict, yada yada. Death Angel is a quiet story. And through one act, cracks those shields that he placed around himself, and quietly as he does everything else, changes and becomes the man of Andie's dreams; her Mr. I have read every one of Linda Howard's books. Perfect. Perfect. Death Angel is a keeper.
I cried big tears on Cry No More. He is not cruel, just who he is. Simon, who wouldn't want a man who can make love for 4 hours and bring indescribable pleasure; is who he is. I have reread the Mackenzie sagas numerous times. But you are with her as she fights back and makes her moves.
I realized after finishing Death Angel, that each really is very different. You aren't really surprised that Andrea turns out not to be a dumb blonde. There is not that much intrigue, like in Kiss me while I sleep or All the Queen's Men or Mr. But each story is so different. My favorites, Wolf and Mary.
His explaination of if he were hired to kill her (Drea, the heroine) was not good enough for me for her to get with him. This was a good book, but not her best. Drea did not make a good heroine either. I guess this book was a little to DARK for me. I usually LOVE anything I read by her. I could not get with the assassin as a hero.
This is the five star book because of a truly memorable couple. I like the story and the characters.
Death Angel was definitely the best one so far. I really liked this book. Amazing author. I love how when your reading her books you can picture the story in your head. I have been a Linda Howard fan now for only 5 months. I have read 5 books so far by her.
